Environmental Benefits Make Ozone Cooling Water Treatment The Perfect Choice For Heathrow

Following the successful performance of their ozone water treatment systems installed on the cooling towers in Heathrow Terminals 1, 3 and 4, Waterwise technology have received a new order for two additional Filtex Compact 60 units to be installed in Terminal 4. These two units, operating alongside an existing 200 gram ozone unit, will extend the water treatment capacity to cater for the additional cooling towers added to cope with the increased demand caused by the upgrading and extending of the check-in areas.
This extension forms part of the upgrading and refurbishment of Terminal 4 for the airlines which will be moving over from other terminals following the switch of all British Airways flights to Terminal 5.
This new contract confirms the confidence BAA has in using ozone technology in their cooling tower water treatment systems at Heathrow. With over 67 million people a year passing through the world’s busiest international airport, maintaining a comfortable and safe environment in the terminals and surrounding areas is a major priority. BAA is ever conscious of the need to provide the highest level of protection whilst also striving to reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact wherever practical.
