Cobra Cyclone Filtration Success
Waterwise is delighted to announce that it has received an order from HSBC for 14 Cobra cyclone sidestream filters to be fitted to 14 cooling towers at the Group’s HQ building in Canary Wharf. Cobra cyclone filters are designed to improve filtration and dirt removal, which is a systemic problem in most cooling tower systems. The online continuous cleaning using integrated Cobra cyclones will reduce plant maintenance, a potential risk of Legionella in the HSCB cooling towers.
Consequently, the use of the system is expected to reduce the level of chemical dosing as biocide requirements are less as a result of the improved overall system cleanliness.
Jon Fielder, Research Director of Waterwise Technology, commented “we are delighted that HSBC have ordered this advanced filtration system. We are confident that it will significantly improve their cooling tower systems efficiency. We believe it is an indication that Waterwise sidestream filtration skids are the way forward for many cooling tower systems, and this is recognised within the industry.”
